Manual therapy/DAM
What is Manual Therapy and DAM Therapy?
The aim of manual therapy and DAM therapy is, on the one hand, to make the joints function better and, on the other, to improve your posture and movements. To do this, the manual therapist uses a number of specific techniques that can be applied in the joints.
The effects of manual therapy and DAM therapy are often immediate: you feel an improvement in freedom of movement and a decrease in pain. The manual therapist’s treatment programme further consists of giving proper instructions, advice, guidance and insight into healthy movement.

Intake: quick clarity
After an initial screening, your first appointment consists of two parts: an interview and a physical examination. In the interview, the manual therapist asks questions about your complaints; for example, how they arise and when they increase or decrease. This is followed by a physical examination, in which the manual therapist assesses your posture and movements and examines your joints. This identifies the causes of your complaints. Together with the patient, the manual therapist decides whether manual therapy makes sense. If not, the manual therapist
will discuss with the patient an approach for further treatment. So you have clarity about the follow-up immediately after the first appointment
